Here is what my partner noticed about my social media:

Based on her social media accounts, Meghan seems like a very passionate, family/friend oriented person. She is on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. On Facebook and Instagram, Meghan mainly posts things about figure skating, as she is a figure skater herself. These posts are interspersed with pictures of her family and friends, or posts her family and friends tagged in her. Regardless of the content, however, her comments sound filled with gratitude and praise. Despite this, she keeps a rather quiet social media presence, posting fairly rarely and irregularly. Nevertheless, her LinkedIn is up-to-date and paints her as professional and driven. Her profile picture for LinkedIn is very appropriate for the site--business clothes--and her social media pictures are definitely geared more towards personal use. Googling her yielded few results, with her LinkedIn profile coming up first. As few of the images were of her, but only ones of her in business casual or her on Pitt's campus.
Overall, Meghan's social media presence is quiet and professional. Her accounts portray her as a passionate individual, involved in a variety of activities and organizations, including figure skating, residence life, and Emerging Leaders. There is nothing an employer would find questionable and I do think she has much, if anything, to improve upon: her personal social media is limited and her professional social media is updated and poised.
I think that my partner got everything right about me just by looking at my social media. I think that the mapping activity didn't really show me anything I didn't already know, but it helped me show how uneven my work is. As a communications major, most of my professors expect me to be posting all the time, however, I'm almost the exact opposite. I personally do not like to post a lot of content, but when I am in charge of social media for a company I make sure to do what is appropriate. I like to keep a clean image because I worry about what employers may see. I don't think I would change anything about my personal social media use. I think that is part of my social brand. I am reserved and quiet, but I like photos and share the important things to me. My LinkedIn is updated and I share or like articles on there often.
